Thank you Jane for this lovely Gastro Pro Review 🐴😊🐴

I started to feed Gastro Pro to my Connemara following the various courses of veterinary gastric medication which had not had suitably lasting results.
He improved very soon after starting the Gastro Pro; not only did his girthy symptoms improve but he cheered up in himself, was more keen to work and he started to regain his condition. He was no longer 'sad' in himself and after several months of Gastro Pro is looking great and working well. It has certainly transformed his condition and way of going!
Thank you, Jane

BONE FRACTURES - Sadly It has been brought to our attention that at this time of the year, there seems to be more field accidents as our beloved ones get out probably for the first time in ages. My heart goes out to those that this already has happened to, it is devastating!!! Therefore we must bring awareness for our #NutraPro that deals with bone fractures so effectively and rapidly heals. I personally have had first-hand experience of this and it was unbelievable how the bone filled and gave our filly her racing career back!!!
Please call us for more information on 01184 676715 or 07860 158052 or send us an email for a data sheet on this.

SARCOIDS
Whatever your opinion on Sarcoids there is no getting away from the fact that they are skin tumours (fibrosarcoma ie cancerous) but the good thing is that they DO NOT metastasise (spread to the internal organs) which is a huge relief, nor do they cause itching and they are not painful although to look at some you would be forgiven for thinking that they are. Unfortunately once a horse has had a sarcoid, regardless of treatment, it is likely to recur – and bring a few friends with it!

Sarcoids can develop anywhere on the body but less commonly on the neck and back compared to other areas; their size varies as does the appearance, the rate of growth, potential spread and how they are best treated – in other words they are unpredictable; they can stay reasonably dormant for years and then suddenly come to life having a growth spurt, spreading and even changing from one type of sarcoid to another. “Yes” there several types of sarcoid and some will develop in or around a wound so in the first instance can be confused with exuberant granulation tissue.
It is commonly agreed amongst vets that a biopsy is not a good option as this can actually make the sarcoid more aggressive [as indeed can any form of trauma] so should only be carried out if a vet is unsure if he/she is looking at a sarcoid. Sarcoids should be assessed on an individual basis as no two are the same and being so unpredictable this is why any one particular treatment cannot be guaranteed.

The most common sarcoids are:
• Occult – slow growing [the least aggressive of sarcoids unless aggravated], flat, scaly; often mistaken for scars or ringworm. Commonly affect the nose, side of face, axilla, inside the thigh/groin.
• Verrucose – wart-like appearance
• Nodular – firm and usually covered in a layer of normal skin; often a single lump but clusters can form; prone to ulceration
• Fibroblastic – very aggressive, grow rapidly and will invade into the tissues beneath the skin; irregular appearance; grow in clusters, bleed easily and are usually ulcerated; look like exuberant granulation tissue...
• Malevolent – most aggressive of all to the point that treatment cannot be given but also very rare [thank goodness]; spread very quickly over huge areas of the body.
• Mixed sarcoids - combinations of the other types of sarcoid and this is quite common. to be multiple sarcoid types present at different sites around the horse.

Treatment options are:
Litigation [applying a rubber ring around the base of the sarcoid], Injections either of immune stimulants such as BCG or chemotherapy drugs such as mitomycin C, topical applications of “Liverpool cream” as it is referred to as no-one can ever remember its proper name! surgical excision, cryosurgery [freezing], laser, radiotherapy. No one treatment is deemed to be 100% successful.

Due to the recurrence rate more and more owners are resorting to homeopathic remedies, the most well known ones being thuja [either given or applied as a cream] and turmeric [either applied as a paste on the sarcoid or given in the feed with linseed and black pepper]. A variety of companies also offer products such as Camrose, Sarc-Ex and Sar-X and whilst the veterinary profession general dispels the use of such things some people report positive results. However we have been using a little known product with positive results – well so far anyway.

The horse in question had a large nodular sarcoid removed from his sheath; it returned bigger than ever but the second removal proved to be successful. However subsequently we noticed the development of an occult sarcoid by his tail. Vet advice was to keep an eye on it as it lay over a vein so would be difficult to treat and because of exactly where it lay. As is typical with these types of sarcoid it remained stable for many, many months then suddenly went into overdrive becoming verrucose and nodular. Again vet advice was actually to leave alone although laser or radiotherapy could be considered but the concern was the size of the area involved and again the fact that the area was directly over the vein.
We could not not do anything and began twice daily brushing with a KBF99 brush; this halted the spread of the sarcoids and they did become visually less angry and prominent so we deemed this to be an effective form of control. However as time went on we contacted #EquineScience to see if they had any "sarcoid products" as we have used their #GastroPro with great effect as have many of our clients.

Initially the horse was put on a course of Nitrox PRO but after 3 weeks we had to say that nothing changed so another formula was sent BM-217 and after just one 5-day course there were very positive signs. A 5-day off period was followed by another 5 days of treatment (added to the water) and the positive results cannot be denied. We have just commenced another 5 days of treatment.

As can be seen from the photo (ignoring the coat colour variation – difference between summer and winter coat) the lumps are reducing in size within flattened areas emerging between them; nor do they protrude so much.

Whether the BM-217 will completely eliminate the sarcoids we obviously cannot say but even if we can keep them under much better control then this would be most satisfactory as far as we, and the owner, is concerned.

When we speak with our customers and listen to their individual horse’s issues, we quite often find out that they also have other problems that we could help address but the customer was not aware that we either have a product for that condition or that we can make up a bespoke #CustomBlend formula from looking at a blood test. #EquineScience Making a difference naturally.

What a FANTASTIC REVIEW from Marissa! We are so pleased that Hopscotch is feeling the benifits from our products. 😊

"Gastro Pro and calmer bites have been a game changer for my horse Hopscotch. He’s always been a bit wired, extremely unreasonable at times and very sensitive to any changes in routine or diet.
He was cow kicking in his box, biting himself and trying to ram me into the wall in the arena. He would pace the fence or canter about manically at 1pm wanting in to his stable. So I ordered calmer bites as an experiment. After a chat with Debbie we decided to try him on a month of Gastro Pro.....best decision ever. Granted it took a week to see the change but he’s been easier to handle, no longer cow kicking or biting. Just generally a more lovable boy. He now goes out at 8.30am and happily stays out grazing until 5pm. The calmer bites have allowed me to hack him out on his own! Which is a miracle. I’m now trying them for travelling so I’ll update my review in due course. But if you are hesitating over trying either product then please give them a go. Truly worth every penny ."

*LATEST VLOG FROM OUR SPONSORED RIDER OLIVIA TOWERS*

Here is day one of Keysoe Premier League, where we took Eagle and Wilfred. We had the most amazing time!

The weather didn't really play ball but luckily we got to warm up inside. Wilfred was good in his Inter 1 but I wasn't 100% with my own performance. Then I sorted myself out for Eagle but unfortunately, he was a little excitable and had lots of mistakes!

Enjoy and Part 2 will be with you soon
