Equine Hormone Disorder

Equine Hormone Disorder, is a painful, debilitating and potentially fatal condition for horses. It is caused by a tumor on the pituitary gland in the horse’s brain and leads to uncontrollable level of hormones in the body. The symptoms of this include heatstroke caused by an inability to shed fur, laminitis episodes, anemia, colic and impaired liver function. While there is no cure for this condition, the symptoms can be managed using our proprietary Equine Hormone Formula, which may help to increase blood flow and provide vital nutrition to the affected areas.

Active Ingredient Breakdown

SOYFLOUR

The diet of a horse with this condition, must be carefully controlled, as the disease can cause other conditions such as diabetes. A low starch, high-protein source of fiber, Soyflour contains essential vitamins and minerals and has been found to decrease blood glucose levels. It is helpful to ensure a balanced diet while avoiding the insulin spikes caused by foods that are higher in starch.
L-ARGININE

Equine Hormone disorder, will inevitably lead to hoof problems after it has progressed far enough. While there is no way to prevent this, L-Arginine goes a long way towards reducing the frequency and severity of these episodes by increasing blood flow to the tendons. L-Arginine also improves hormone function, an absolute necessity in a disease caused by improper hormone release.
SALVIA HISPANICA (CHIA SEED)

Also known as Chia Seed, Salvia Hispanica is an extremely nutrient dense superfood. It is packed with antioxidants, fiber, protein, calcium and more Omega-3 fatty acids per serving than salmon. It is legendary for its energizing, stamina-boosting, as well as its ability to protect the heart and stabilize blood sugar. It also helps to detoxify and is even believed to boost brain power.
CHASTEBERRY

Perhaps the single best natural herb for managing Cushing’s disease, Chasteberry has been lauded for centuries due to its ability to assist the body in regulating hormones. The body’s hormones work in a delicate balance, and equine hormone disorder, is caused when the pituitary gland can no longer effectively regulate those hormones. Therefore, the ability of Chasteberry to restore the body’s hormone balances to normal is extremely valuable for horses with the condition.
